Veteran finance and capital markets leader joins company to help scale the future of physical AI and autonomous buildings

SALT LAKE CITY, April 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PassiveLogic, the leader in physical AI for autonomous buildings, today announced the appointment of Joel Harvill as Chief Financial Officer.

Harvill brings nearly two decades of experience across private credit, corporate finance, treasury, and capital markets, having closed more than $15 billion over the course of his career. His background spans some of the world’s most innovative and complex organizations, including Rivian, Waymo, AIG Investments, BNP Paribas / Bank of the West, a credit fund owned by CIT Group, and GE Capital. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance at Botrista, following senior finance leadership roles at Rivian and Waymo.

At PassiveLogic, Harvill will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations as it expands its market presence and scales adoption of its autonomy platform for the built environment. His expertise includes debt and equity fundraising, capital markets access, financial planning and modeling, treasury services, contract negotiation, syndications, and structuring resilient capital strategies to support long-term growth.

“Joel is a powerful addition to the PassiveLogic leadership team,” said Troy Harvey, CEO and co-founder of PassiveLogic. “He brings an exceptional combination of financial rigor, capital markets experience, and strategic leadership from companies that are reshaping major industries. As PassiveLogic continues to define the category of physical AI, Joel’s experience building durable financial foundations for transformative businesses will be critical to our next phase of growth.”

Harvill has built his career at the intersection of finance and industrial transformation, supporting companies that combine advanced technology with real-world infrastructure. In interview remarks, he emphasized that enduring growth depends on both durable capital structure and strong management execution — a perspective shaped by years of investing, structuring, and operating through both growth and market disruption.

“I’m excited to join PassiveLogic at such an important moment,” said Joel Harvill, CFO of PassiveLogic. “While much of the world is still debating what AI might do, PassiveLogic is already applying it in the physical world — improving how buildings operate, reducing energy consumption, enhancing comfort, extending asset life, and helping lower emissions. This is a company with extraordinary technology, meaningful global impact, and the opportunity to set the standard for intelligent buildings. I’m proud to be part of the team building that future.”

Buildings account for a substantial share of global energy use, and PassiveLogic is pioneering a new approach to building autonomy that enables real-time intelligent control of physical systems. By combining world models, physics-based reasoning, and autonomous control, PassiveLogic helps buildings operate more efficiently, sustainably, and intelligently — without requiring entirely new infrastructure. Harvill emphasized the company’s ability to improve existing assets while reducing energy demand and environmental impact.

With Harvill joining the executive team, PassiveLogic continues to deepen the leadership required to scale its technology, strengthen its financial strategy, and accelerate its mission to transform the built environment through autonomy.

About PassiveLogic

PassiveLogic makes generative AI software for the built environment, enabling generative autonomy for things and universal real-time collaboration between teams by reimagining how we design, build, operate, maintain, and manage buildings and industrial systems as infrastructural robots. Using physics-informed AI and Quantum digital twins, PassiveLogic is powered by the world’s fastest AI compiler to deliver next-generation control systems. Users can build generative autonomous infrastructure in minutes and easily collaborate with AI agents through an intuitive suite of “choose your own adventure” tools.

The company is seizing a generational opportunity to reinvent building automation—replacing aging control systems with the industry’s first modern platform powered by autonomous in-building physical AI agents—all while tackling the climate challenge head-on.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

BEIJING, April 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — When the 5th RCEP (Shandong) Import Expo kicked off on Monday, crowds of purchasers from home and abroad and exhibitors from 48 countries thronged Linyi City to feel the pulse of its opening up.

As a city home to Linyi Trade City, one of the earliest wholesale market clusters in China, it is gaining speed in growing its opening up-led economy, boasting extensive trade ties with countries across the world.

Last year, Linyi Trade City reported an aggregate turnover of 708.53 billion yuan, total logistics value of 1.08 trillion yuan, and gross import and export value of 124.52 billion yuan, attesting again to its vibrancy.

By 2035, the city pledged to shape the Linyi Trade City into an international commodity distribution center and logistics hub, a goal that has already been written in a Shandong provincial government bulletin.

In October 2025, Shandong provincial government unveiled a basket of 22 measures to back the high-quality development of Linyi Trade City and afterwards, Linyi leveraged the “dual-center” construction mode to further optimize local opening up mechanisms.

By advancing reforms in key sectors such as customs clearance, logistics, finance, legal services and risk control, the city further invigorated factor flow-driven opening up while expanding institutional opening up at a steady pace.

Under such circumstances, its foreign trade with Africa skyrocketed 109.3 percent on year to 21.26 billion yuan in 2025.

Linyi has been revving up its exploration of emerging markets such as Africa, the ASEAN region and the Middle East, making them key growth drivers for local foreign trade, according to a person in charge of related affairs with Linyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

Furthermore, other integrated service facilities were also put into operation to bolster high-quality foreign trade growth.

Earlier in February, Linyi international trade center, a local service harbor that combines outgoing-related customs, taxation, foreign exchange, finance and logistic services, and Linyi digital trade center became operational, further lowering digitization threshold for local businesses to improve trade efficiency.

Moreover, overseas exhibitions and local events for foreign merchants are regularly organized by the city to boost two-way trade together with exploration of new transport routes connecting with central and southeast Asia and other key markets.

Co-functioning of such efforts is now serving as a staunch support for Linyi’s way forward in prompting opening up-led trade development.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Overstory Unveils First AI Models to Predict Power Outages and Wildfires with Tree-level Precision

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Utilities are shifting from a detect-and-react mindset to one anchored on prevention. New AI models give operators the foresight to act before outages and ignitions occur.

AMSTERDAM, April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Overstory, the leading grid resilience platform trusted by 6 of the 10 largest utilities in North America, today announced the industry’s first AI models that predict where outages and utility-caused wildfires are most likely to start. The new Ignition and Outage Models mark a shift from paper maps and subjective data to predictive scenario planning, giving operators a prioritized view of the exact work that will prevent the most harm per dollar spent.

Utilities are in a moment of profound transformation. Surging costs, more severe storms, and escalating wildfire risk are converging on an industry already stretched thin — forcing operators to get smarter about every dollar spent and every mile of network they protect. For the past seven years, utilities have trusted Overstory to design programs that reduce the vegetation and wildfire risk across their network. Today’s release extends that work, giving operators the ability to model a range of scenarios to predict where the risks are greatest, what it would cost to address, and which actions can reduce it most efficiently.

Built on years of identifying hazards, new models predict outages & ignitions

Since its founding in 2018, Overstory has released a series of innovative models that analyze satellite data and aerial imagery to determine tree height, tree health, and ground fuels across utility networks. Trained across millions of miles and extensively validated by certified arborists, these models give utilities a data-backed view of vegetation and fuel risk at every span, down to the individual tree or shrub.

Today’s release adds a new layer: by incorporating a utility’s historical outages and ignitions alongside factors like asset age and weather data, the models can identify the specific interventions most likely to prevent the next incident, whether that’s removing a dying tree, mowing dry grass around a pole, or replacing an aging asset in a high-ignition-risk corridor.

From paper maps to dynamic scenario modeling

Overstory Scenarios equips utilities to dynamically model resilience programs to tackle wildfire, asset and vegetation risks across their networks. For decades, utilities have met growing risk by deploying more resources — a logical response given the tools available at the time. But as costs continue to climb, that path is no longer tenable. Forward-thinking utilities and regulators are calling for a more predictive, data-driven approach: one that addresses more risk within the budgets they have.

Overstory Scenarios bridges that gap. Teams can design risk-based programs, explore alternative scenarios, and weigh tradeoffs between cost and risk reduction. Analysis that once took weeks can now happen in real-time, helping utilities see where risk lies, what it costs to address, and how to reduce the most risk with every dollar spent.

“For years, utilities have been asked to do more with less while storms and wildfires grow in frequency and severity. What utilities need now is foresight: the ability to act before an outage or ignition occurs. That’s what these models make possible for the first time”Fiona Spruill, CEO, Overstory

With this intelligence on hand, utilities can continue to deliver on their enduring promise: safe, reliable, and affordable power.

CATL Unveils Six Major Innovations: Multi-Chemistry Systems to Redefine New Energy Mobility Experience

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

BEIJING, April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CATL today hosted its Super Technology Day in Beijing, unveiling third-generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery, third-generation Qilin Battery, Qilin Condensed Battery, second-generation Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery, Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery and a fully integrated supercharging and battery-swapping solution. These innovations are designed to address diverse mobility needs across different usage scenarios.

At the event, Dr. Wu Kai, Chief Scientist of CATL, systematically elaborated on the respective strengths, limitations, and development pathways of different chemistries. He noted that LFP is nearing its theoretical energy density limit, making it better suited for a technology roadmap centered on extreme fast charging to achieve optimal balance. NCM’s high energy density keeps it at the forefront of global competition — underscoring that energy density remains the core metric for leadership. Sodium-ion batteries offer broad potential for extreme temperatures and energy storage applications. Whether from the perspective of differentiated consumer needs, or from the viewpoints of energy security and social development, the lithium-ion battery industry must pursue coordinated development across multiple chemical systems.

Robin Zeng, Chairman and CEO of CATL, emphasized at the conference that industrial innovation must be driven by a rigorous scientific spirit. For Chinese technology to go global, it relies not just on speed and scale, but on the quality of innovation, the ability to validate, and the credibility of the brand.

Third-Generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery: Making Superfast Charging and Ultra-Long Lifespan No Longer a Trade-Off

From an electrochemical standpoint, boosting charge rates while protecting battery lifespan hinges on one primary factor: temperature rise, not trickle current. As the Arrhenius equation shows, a 10°C increase in battery temperature can roughly double the rate of internal side reactions—an effect that can significantly shorten cycle life.

The third-generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery addresses heat generation and dissipation through three major measures: reduced heat production during operation, stronger thermal propagation, and higher precision control. As a result, after 1,000 complete cycles, the battery’s capacity retention remains above 90%, achieving an optimal balance between extreme superfast charging and ultra-long service life.

The latest third-generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery has reached what is claimed to be the industry’s strongest capability: an equivalent 10C and a peak 15C charging rate. Charging from 10% to 35% SOC (State of Charge) takes just 1 minute; from 10% to 80% SOC takes 3 minutes and 44 seconds; and from 10% to 98% SOC takes 6 minutes and 27 seconds. Even at −30°C in extreme cold conditions, charging from 20% to 98% SOC takes about 9 minutes.

In addition, by combining battery self-heating technology with a fully integrated supercharging and battery-swapping network, the system is designed to enable low-temperature superfast charging that is not limited by charging piles—offering both fast charging and battery swapping.

Third-generation Qilin Battery: Lighter, Stronger, More Premium, Redefining EV Excellence

Historically, achieving long range in premium EVs with LFP batteries has relied on simply adding more capacity — an approach that inevitably compromises vehicle lightweighting.

The third-generation Qilin Battery is designed for premium long-range EVs, achieving a cell energy density of 280 Wh/kg and enabling 1,000 km range while supporting 10C superfast charging.

The battery delivers 3 MW peak power, doubling the output of the second-generation Qilin track battery which competed on the Nürburgring (1,330 kW).

The entire battery pack weighs only 625 kg. Compared with equivalent LFP systems, this represents a weight reduction of 255 kg and space savings of 112 litres. The lightweighting metrics deliver exceptionally significant benefits:

Building on the national standard for NP (No Thermal Propagation), safety is strengthened through “thermal-electrical separation”, with each cell incorporating an independent sealed exhaust channel to isolate thermal events and prevent propagation, ensuring “heat takes the heat path, electricity takes the electrical path”.

Qilin Condensed Battery: Aviation-Grade Technology Applied to Passenger Vehicles for the First Time

The Qilin Condensed Battery applies aviation-grade technology to passenger vehicles for the first time, achieving 350 Wh/kg cell energy density and 760 Wh/L volumetric energy density — setting a new record for mass-produced batteries. This enables 1,500 km range for sedans and over 1,000 km for large SUVs, with pack weight controlled within 650 kg.

The condensed battery features a high-nickel cathode and low-expansion silicon-carbon anode, boosting energy density by 50 Wh/kg. Its first-ever aviation-grade titanium alloy case reduced thickness by 60% and weight by 30%, while tripling unit strength and delivering an additional 20 Wh/kg in energy density.

The technology builds on CATL’s electric aviation programme, where 500 Wh/kg systems have completed maiden flight validation on 4-tonne aircraft, with further validation underway on aircraft exceeding 8 tonnes.

Replacing liquid electrolyte with a condensed system eliminates risks associated with leakage and combustion, achieving “no liquid to leak, no liquid to ignite”. At the same time, CATL has adopted a new composite current collector that acts as a fast self-fusing fuse in extreme cases of internal short circuits.

Second-generation Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery: Bringing Hybrids into the 600 km Pure Electric Era

The second-generation Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery extends all-electric range to up to 600 km and standardises 10C superfast charging. It pioneers a “super hybrid technology” that integrates LFP and NCM materials through gradient-uniform mixing, with the olivine crystal structure of LFP serving as the core backbone, enabling a uniform hybrid of LFP and NCM materials at the powder particle level.

This achieves an energy density of 230 Wh/kg and increases range by over 15% without increasing pack weight compared with single LFP systems. This enables full coverage from mainstream family use to high-end, all-round hybrid scenarios, delivering optimal solutions across diverse applications.

The LFP version delivers up to 500 km pure electric range, enabling a “once-a-week charging” experience for daily commuting. The NCM version further extends pure electric range beyond 600 km, with total vehicle range exceeding 2,000 km, enabling a seamless dual-use experience for both daily electric driving and long-distance travel.

The system delivers 1.5 MW of instantaneous power at full charge and maintains 1.2 MW at 20% SOC, addressing power degradation in low-charge conditions. In off-road scenarios requiring over 350 kW output, the system provides more than three times the required power, ensuring consistent performance even at low charge levels.

Safety features include a reinforced bottom coating capable of withstanding 1,500 joules of impact energy (ten times the national standard) and waterproof sealing that allows continuous immersion in 2 metres of water for over 200 hours without performance degradation.

Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery: Achieving GWh-scale Sodium-ion Industrialisation

The Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery marks CATL’s transition from laboratory breakthrough to large-scale manufacturing. By systematically overcoming hundreds of engineering challenges, CATL has achieved GWh-level industrialisation.

In 2026, CATL successfully addressed four key industry bottlenecks for sodium-ion mass production—extreme water control, gas generation in hard carbon, aluminium foil adhesion, and self-forming anode systems—paving the way for reliable, large-scale deployment. The Naxtra Sodium-ion Battery is set to enter full-scale mass production by the end of 2026.

Integrated Supercharging and Battery-swapping Network: A Unified Replenishment Architecture

CATL also introduced an integrated supercharging and battery-swapping network, designed as a unified system rather than separate solutions, built on three complementary pillars—home charging, public charging, and battery swapping—to define the optimal energy replenishment ecosystem. All passenger vehicle “Choco-Swap” and heavy truck “QIJI” swapping stations will be equipped with Shenxing supercharging systems, enabling true charge–swap synergy, where each station serves both as a battery-swapping node and a high-power charging hub.

The integrated charge–swap stations feature shared compact substations and charging modules, reducing energy conversion steps and lowering overall power loss by more than 13 percentage points compared with conventional storage-equipped charging stations. In emergency scenarios, station batteries can discharge directly to charging piles, driving equipment utilization rate above 85%. This enables a service capacity of 3× per parking space compared with conventional storage-equipped charging stations, while the fixed investment cost of the supercharging segment is reduced to only one-fifth of comparable systems.

CATL launched the Choco-Swap #26 battery, featuring an 800V high-voltage architecture. The first release includes a 75 kWh version, with higher-capacity variants to follow, fully compatible with B- to C-segment 800V vehicles. With this launch, the Choco-Swap system will extend its coverage to a complete vehicle matrix from A0 to C-segment models.

In terms of network deployment, CATL plans to build 4,000 integrated charge–swap stations by the end of 2026, covering nearly 190 cities and a nationwide highway network spanning 12 vertical and 11 horizontal corridors. To date, the Choco-Swap network has already built 1,470 stations across 99 cities, with scaling continuing to accelerate.

Together with automakers and energy partners, CATL will co-develop a “charge–swap sharing network” based on technology sharing, seamless connectivity, and joint investment. Initial partners include Changan, Chery, GAC, Seres, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and BAIC, with a target of building over 100,000 shared energy replenishment facilities by the end of 2028.

Advancing full-scenario energy solutions

From five battery products covering the full material spectrum to an integrated supercharging and battery-swapping network, CATL has established a complete value chain from battery products to infrastructure.

CATL will continue to invest in advanced research, large-scale manufacturing and ecosystem collaboration to accelerate the transition from single-point innovation to full-scenario energy solutions, ensuring the benefits of technological progress are accessible across all mobility use cases.

Abilitare industrie intelligenti e sostenibili

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

SHENZHEN, CHINA – Media OutReach Newswire – 21 April 2026 – OPPO officially announced the launch of the OPPO Photography Awards 2026 today, marking the return of the annual competition that provides a global stage for mobile photographers to showcase diverse perspectives through visual storytelling.

Building on last year’s theme “Super Every Moment”, this year’s edition introduces a brand-new Super Video category alongside expanded support programs offering creators more visibility and professional support. This year’s competition also includes a total prize pool of $76,500 distributed across the various prize categories.

“Over the past four years, the OPPO Photography Awards has evolved into a truly global platform that empowers mobile creators everywhere to express their inspiration effortlessly through OPPO’s powerful imaging capabilities,” said Ling Liu, Overseas CMO at OPPO. “Championing young creators has always been central to the Awards, and this year, we are taking this further by creating more opportunities for the next generation to be seen, supported, and recognized. Smartphone users have always embraced video as a powerful tool for mobile storytelling, and through our advanced imaging technologies and long-term partnership with Hasselblad, we hope to empower more creators worldwide to tell rich and authentic stories with their mobile devices.”

New Categories Celebrate New Possibilities in Mobile Imaging

The OPPO Photography Awards 2026 introduces two new categories—Super Video and Super Zoom—as part of an updated six-category lineup that also includes Journey, Me, Live, and Snap.

Marking the first dedicated video category in OPPO Photography Awards history, the Super Video category aims to highlight the growing influence of video alongside photography as a distinct medium for mobile storytelling. With life’s meaningful moments taking place not only in static frames but the dynamic motion and emotions that unfold between them, OPPO is empowering storytellers from all walks of life to capture this motion through the latest innovations in mobile videography. Building on its longstanding focus on video, OPPO continues to deliver industry-leading capabilities across its product portfolio, enabling both enthusiasts and professionals to fully embrace the fun of creation.

Beyond offering cutting-edge technology, OPPO is equally committed to enhancing how these creations are shared. OPPO and Meta are closely collaborating to optimize the video-sharing experience on Instagram. OPPO Find X9 Ultra users can now achieve near-lossless video quality from capture to share. Videos shared on Instagram will retain quality virtually indistinguishable from the original footage, achieving the industry’s highest standards and ensuring that every shared moment remains true to the original creation. This reflects OPPO’s continued focus on optimizing the entire creative lifecycle for a truly seamless user experience.

This year’s other new category, Super Zoom, seeks to explore the creative potential made possible through OPPO’s long-term investment in advanced telescope zoom technology. By pushing the boundaries of mobile imaging, OPPO has brought smartphone zoom capabilities closer than ever to those of traditional standalone cameras, allowing users to capture unseen details with precision and explore life’s hidden beauty from completely new perspectives.

Committed to Supporting Young Creators

OPPO is committed to supporting young creative talents and amplifying their voices globally. Through the 2026 Awards, this commitment is taken even further with several new programs designed to empower creators’ long-term growth through professional guidance and coaching.

In partnership with Discovery Channel, OPPO has launched
the Filmmaker Accelerator Program
, offering young creators exclusive mentorship from industry professionals. Creators who submit videos to the Super Video category will have the chance to be invited to produce a short film with end-to-end creative support and potential broadcast opportunities, alongside a grant provided by OPPO.

Suvoda introduces agentic RTSM, cutting clinical trial start-up timelines by up to 80%

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Next-generation, AI-powered Randomization and Trial Supply Management system—designed to get studies to first-patient-in significantly faster

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Getting a clinical trial from contract to go-live can take months. For sponsors working to deliver therapies to patients who need them, the startup window is one of the most persistent drags on timelines—and one of the hardest to compress.

Today, Suvoda, a global clinical trial technology company and a recognized leader in the RTSM space, announced agentic RTSM: the next evolution of Suvoda IRT that uses agentic AI to take a study from project kickoff to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in as little as two weeks.

Agentic RTSM is part of a broader AI strategy that, together with Suvoda’s AI assistant Sofia, delivers three outcomes for sponsors and study teams:

In Suvoda RTSM, multiple AI agents accelerate distinct phases of the study build—including software configuration, customization, and testing—and speed up change orders. Because agentic RTSM is built on the patented Suvoda Platform, it leverages the Virtual Partition architecture and the code generation capabilities of the platform’s low-code/no-code tools, rather than rebuilding from scratch for each build. It also drives rapid agentic setup through access to a shared data layer with comprehensive data on trial configurations that have been refined through Suvoda’s experience with thousands of complex trials. This approach allows Suvoda’s team to focus where it matters most: delivering expert consulting and calm guidance at every stage of the trial.

“Clinical trials are only becoming more complex and more urgent, and our customers shouldn’t have to deal with technology that slows them down,” said Jagath Wanninayake, CEO, Suvoda. “With agentic RTSM, we’re using AI to remove friction from trial startup—so sponsors can begin enrolling patients sooner, sites get a smarter and more responsive experience, and study teams spend less time on administrative tasks and more time on the work that matters.”

Suvoda is currently working with a select group of early adopters to deploy agentic RTSM capabilities, solidifying the operational and services foundation to support broader rollout. Suvoda is also enhancing Sofia, its AI assistant, to support monitoring, provide alerts, and take direct actions with appropriate safeguards to support the study process. The company plans to extend the agentic model to eCOA and its financial services products, bringing the same startup speed and consistency to questionnaire-based studies, to participant travel, and to patient and site payments.

“Our goal is to make every moment in a trial smarter—whether we’re building a complex RTSM system for a study, responding to a protocol amendment, or helping a site coordinator get the right answer in seconds,” said E.K. Koh, Chief Product Officer, Suvoda. “Agentic RTSM is one of the first steps in a broader AI vision. Speed, quality, and experience don’t have to be trade-offs—they can all move forward together.”

At the heart of Suvoda RTSM is a commitment to the people it serves: the sponsors testing new treatments, the sites running trials, and ultimately the patients waiting for therapies. Faster startup isn’t just an operational metric—it’s a step toward getting medicines to the people who need them sooner.

ABOUT SUVODA

Suvoda is a global clinical trial technology company with a market-leading, real-time software platform that empowers sponsors and CROs to make confident decisions and sites and patients to take calm, controlled action.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

MOTIV BTK randomized trial met primary efficacy endpoint, with early and sustained clinical benefit in a complex patient population

SAN DIEGO, April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — REVA Medical, LLC today announced primary endpoint results from the MOTIV BTK randomized pivotal clinical trial evaluating the MOTIV® sirolimus-eluting bioresorbable vascular scaffold in patients with critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). The results were presented today at the Charing Cross International Symposium in London, UK.

The MOTIV BTK trial met both its primary safety and efficacy endpoints, demonstrating that the MOTIV scaffold provides a statistically significant improvement in clinical outcomes compared to the current standard of care, balloon angioplasty.

Results of the one-year MOTIV BTK clinical trial showed:

The trial enrolled a complex CLTI population, including a high proportion of Rutherford 5 patients and challenging lesion characteristics representative of real-world disease.

“Patients with critical limb-threatening ischemia have limited treatment options and face a high risk of limb loss and mortality,” said Ehrin Armstrong, MD, MSc, Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Intervention HCA HealthOne Swedish Medical Center, Denver, Colorado and Principal Investigator of the MOTIV BTK trial. “The MOTIV data demonstrate a meaningful and statistically significant improvement over balloon angioplasty, particularly in a complex patient population.”

CLTI is the most severe form of peripheral artery disease, affecting millions of patients worldwide and often leading to severe pain, non-healing wounds, and amputation. Balloon angioplasty remains a primary treatment option in the U.S., but long-term vessel patency remains a significant challenge. The MOTIV bioresorbable scaffold is designed to open blocked arteries, support the vessel during healing, and then gradually be reabsorbed by the body, restoring the vessel without leaving a permanent implant.

In addition, the MOTIV scaffold is designed with full radiopacity, enabling physicians to directly visualize the scaffold during implantation and optimize placement in complex below-the-knee anatomy.

“The MOTIV trial results represent a significant advancement for patients in the treatment of below-the-knee disease,” said Jeffrey Anderson, President and Chief Executive Officer of REVA Medical. “The magnitude of benefit observed, along with early and sustained clinical improvement, reinforces the potential of bioresorbable scaffold technology to address a critical unmet need in this high-risk patient population.”

The MOTIV BTK trial is a prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled study evaluating the safety and efficacy of the MOTIV scaffold compared to balloon angioplasty in patients with infrapopliteal arterial disease.

Automated and resource-efficient: tesa and AUMOVIO develop debondable adhesive solution for automotive displays

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

NORDERSTEDT and BABENHAUSEN, Germany, April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — tesa, an international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, and technology company AUMOVIO, a spin-off of Continental’s Automotive business unit, will work more closely together going forward. Together, the partners are introducing a new solution for the mechanical integration of automotive displays.

In automotive display manufacturing, adhesive solutions are the primary technology used to meet growing demand for sleek and ultra-thin frames. In cooperation with AUMOVIO, tesa is now taking the next step. The new solution combines state-of-the-art bonding technology with optimized material usage and pioneering concepts – enabling a controlled, detachable adhesive bond that simplifies corrections during production and repairs throughout the entire product life cycle.

Precision meets durable, selectively detachable adhesive bonding

The new process uses an adhesive tape applied robotically. The bond is instantly load-bearing and can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. At the same time, it can be detached as required, allowing display assemblies to be selectively replaced or reworked during production or service – without having to replace the entire display module.

“This partnership demonstrates how innovative materials technology is advancing the mobility of tomorrow. Together with AUMOVIO, we offer automated adhesive bonds that not only provide long-term durability but can also be deliberately debonded – enabling efficient production, longer product life cycles, and circular product concepts. This helps our customers translate their sustainability goals into tangible product solutions,” says David Caro, Head of Automotive at tesa.

Pavel Prouza, Head of the User Experience business area (UX) of AUMOVIO, explains, “The combination of highly precise, automated application and targeted detachability adds an important element to our manufacturing and quality processes. It strengthens the robustness of our production, reduces material waste, and promotes efficient use of valuable components. For the end customer, this could even mean that future repairs may require replacing only the affected individual components in a cost-effective way.”

More sustainable display solution: securely bonded but still detachable

The new system is a significant step toward the future, combining the proven advantages of viscoelastic adhesive bonds with properties that support circularity. The bond requires no curing time and reliably compensates for material expansion across the full temperature range typically encountered in automotive environments. Thanks to its fully automated application, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. With a tape width of only 2 mm, it enables exceptionally narrow display bezels similar to those seen in smartphones.

At the same time, the bond can be detached as required. Display assemblies can be selectively replaced or reworked during production or service without replacing the entire display module.

tesa and AUMOVIO use adhesive tapes featuring Debonding on Demand technology, which allows the bond to be selectively detached with little effort.

This facilitates the replacement of individual display units during the product’s life cycle as well as recycling at the end of the vehicle’s service life. AUMOVIO is already in discussions with automotive manufacturers on the implementation of recycling and repair programs for selected components. The solution supports the circular economy, making a tangible contribution to AUMOVIO’s sustainability strategy by creating long-term economic, social, and environmental value through innovative mobility solutions.

With the official launch of the partnership, tesa and AUMOVIO are now preparing integration of this new solution into volume production for the second quarter of 2026.

About tesa SEAs a multinational company, tesa has been developing innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions for various industries, commercial customers, and end consumers for more than 125 years. There are already more than 7,000 tesa adhesive solutions that help improve the work, products or lives of our customers. Today, the focus is on sustainability and energy-saving processes. tesa invests in the development of environmentally friendly products and solvent-free manufacture processes as well as in the use of renewable energy sources at its locations. tesa is active in 100 countries and operates plants in Germany, Italy, China, the USA, and in Vietnam. Around three-quarters of the tesa Group’s sales (2025: €1.7 billion) are generated by applications for industries.
